Is Sunup an emergency service?

No. Sunup is a daily check-in that lets the people who love you know when something might be wrong. It doesn't contact emergency services for you. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number.

Does Sunup track my location?

No. Sunup never tracks your location in the background and doesn't record where you are when you check in. Your location is shared only when you press SOS and choose to include it.

What if I just forget or sleep in?

Sunup starts gently with a reminder, and you can check in at any point to stop everything. Your circle is only alerted if you still haven't checked in after the earlier steps.

Do the people in my circle need the app?

They confirm by text when you add them, and they can reply STOP at any time. If they use Sunup too, they can watch over you right in the app.

What's the difference between Free and Premium?

Free includes the daily check-in, SOS, a circle of up to 2 people, and the reminder, urgent alert and circle alert. Premium adds phone calls, the “If I go dark” packet, Moments, smart check-in, up to 3 check-ins a day and an unlimited circle, for $9.99 a month or $79.99 a year after a 7-day free trial.
